Executive Committee

The Executive  Committee of ADITI  for the session 2014 – 2017 is as below:

Mr. Subhash Chandra Vashishth, DT, President cum Chairman

Subhash is the Founder & Hony Director of Centre for Accessibility in Built Environment (CABE) based out of Delhi.  He is also a lawyer practicing in Delhi High Court specializing in disability rights. He has worked with children & young adults with neurological disabilities at Spastics Society of Northern India now called AADI (Action for Ability Development and Inclusion) in various settings i.e. inclusive education, Home Management programme and the Adult Training Programme,  immediately after his course in Developmental Therapy at AADI. Subsequently besides his legal practice, he was consulting with Svayam – a Delhi based organisation promoting accessibility for persons with reduced mobility in public infrastructure and services until March 2016. He is one of the founder members of the advocacy committee of All India Confederation of the Blind, Delhi working to restore the rights of the Blind Persons in the country.  He also dedicates himself to a centre working on cross disability programs called Dooars Institute of the Disabled at Viswamata Sewashram in Jaigaon, Dist Alipurduar, West Bengal.

Mr. Vivek Sharma, DT, Gen. Secretary

Vivek had been a part of ROSHNI RamaKrishna Ashrama, Gwalior ever since he began working with chidren with neurological disabilities after his DT Course at AADI. Hehas been the Therapy Coordinator and has numerous experience in developmental therapy.  During the year 2005, Vivek  earned a scholoarship to UK where he completed five short courses, one each on Get on the ball course at Bristol;  Halliwick swimming course at Lake District; Hydrotherapy course level-1 at Haywards;  Hydrotherapy for learning disabilities at Haywards and Bobath introduction course at London. He was also placed in neo-natal settings for shorter courses in UK. He specialises in Hydro-therapy and enjoys working with children with neurological disabilities and their families. Vivek is currently a CRE Trainer for the National Trust awareness raising and other training programmes on disability. He also holds a portfolio in Special Olympics. Vivek also worked as Senior Programme Officer at Human Rights Law Network during 2010-2011.

Ms. Seema Chadha, DT, Member

Seema is a parent of a cute daughter with multiple disabilities and she brings with her enormous experience – both lived as well as professional. Currently she is the Project Manager at Dera – an initiative of Muskaan in South Delhi. She worked as a coordinator for several years with AARTH- ASTHA, a resource centre for children with multiple disabilities based in South Delhi  for a long time before moving on to FourSteps School as its Principal. She is dedicated and thoroughly humble professional.

Mr. Kali Charan Verma, DT, Member

Kalicharan is  consulting with Vasant Valley School currently as a Special Educator & DT since Feb 2003 and has been at Spastics Society of Northern India (now called AADI) for almost eleven years prior to that serving in various capacities as special educator and Vocational Therapist. He completed his DT course in 2001 from AADI. He is a great resource on the subject and has worked in variety of settings.

Mr. Nandan Kandpal, DT, Member

After his course in Developmental Therapy from AADI in 2006, Nandan is spearheading a foundation  Srajan Spastic Society at Haldwani (Nainital) Uttrakhand which is providing services to  137 Persons with disabilities ageing from 09 months to 84 years. His society has recently conducted a research work  on “Implementation of National Trust Act in Uttrakhand” and brought out alarming ground realities. He is committed to his work and is serving society with help of his wife Shradha- a special educator. Nandan has a rich experience of the health sector having worked as a Medical Reporter for Medical Times for 18 years for north India and is a great resource for ADITI.
